Welcome to the Illinois Medieval Association. Since 1983, IMA has promoted medieval studies in Illinois and the Midwest, hosting an annual meeting and publishing proceedings from those meetings in Essays in Medieval Studies (EMS). This site will provide updated information on the society, its officers, meetings, and EMS.

IMA--along with Depaul University, Loyola University of Chicago, Northwestern University, the University of Chicago, and the University of Illinois at Chicago--will be a host of the Medieval Academy meeting in 2009, to be held 26-28 March, 2009 at the Renaissance Chicago Hotel.

Information for the 2010 IMA meeting, including the call for papers, is now available. A joint meeting with the Medieval Association of the Midwest, the 2010 meeting will be hosted by Dominican University.
